RUBBER-CORD COMPENSATORY BRANCH PIPES
Rubber-cord compensatory branch pipes are used for compensation of assembly, temperature and working displacements of connecting pipelines, reduction of vibration and noise level. They are noted for simplicity of design, reliability and durability in operation, can be used in water-supply and sewer plants, and also in chemical, mining, metallurgical and pulp and paper industry.
Branch pipes have no rubbing and wearing details, are not subject to corrosion and sediment on their surfaces contacting with a liquid.
In Fig. 1, the basic overall and connecting dimensions of the offered rubber-cord compensatory branch pipes are given.

Rubber-cord compensatory branch pipe contains a rubber-cord elastic element - 1, reinforced by a high-strength kapron cord, flanges - 2 of which are connected to flanges- 3 of the pipeline by means of clamping flanges - 4 and screws - 5. Flanges - 2 of the branch pipes are made elastic enough so that to allow installation of branch pipes by means of solid (not cut) clamping flanges 4. All rubber-cord branch pipes are reinforced with a high-strength kapron cord and have not less than threefold safety factor on failure pressure. The angle of arrangement of the cord’s reinforcing threads is chosen of such a value that at admission of pressure the branch pipes are thrustless, i.e. exert no force action on the pipelines being connected.
Lengths of branch pipes (of size L, fig. 1) correspond to lengths of standard valves and consequently branch pipes can be installed instead of valves, for their repair including. At installation of an additional pinching device the given branch pipes can be used instead of valves.
At the customer’s demand, necessary versions of branch pipes, both in their geometrical sizes, and properties of rubber can be produced.
By special order, branch pipes working with environments where temperature exceeds 100° С can be produced.
